Ronald J. “Slim” LeBlanc, a lifelong resident of Destrehan, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at the age of 81. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Manuella Gilardi LeBlanc. He is survived by his children; Larry LeBlanc (late Jean), Wayne LeBlanc (Lisa), Rhonda Jackson (Glenn), Cheryl Walker (Johnny), Lisa Beard (Kenny), Gina Brewer (Roscoe), Randy LeBlanc (Kelly), Norma Woodburn (Richie),14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family members and his second family at the camp. He is preceded in death by his parents; Elie LeBlanc and Elsie Braud LeBlanc and his siblings; Jeannette Brauninger, Erling LeBlanc Sr., and Mary Dale Decoteau. Ronald loved fishing and hunting at his camp. He was employed with Boh Brothers Construction for 31 years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, the American Cancer Society and St. Joseph Hospice. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at St. Joseph Hospice for their compassion.
