Jason Michael Bergeron was born on January 7, 1972, and entered heaven on Saturday, November 12, 2022. He lived in Destrehan, and he was in the first special education class in St. Charles Parish Public Schools. Jason attended and graduated from the Louisiana Special Education Center in Alexandria. After graduation, he moved to Thibodaux and was currently residing in Hammond.
Jason will be loved and missed by his parents Pat and Glenda Trosclair Bergeron, older brother Patrick (Cassi), younger sister Ashley Pate (Rickey), nieces and nephews Courtney, Trent, Kylar, Marleigh, Jordan, and Farrah who he loved dearly. He shared a special bond with his loving grandmother Santa "Sadie" Digirolamo Trosclair. Jason is survived by his aunts and uncles Myra and Richard Sharp, Williard "Cookie" and Terry Bergeron, Renee and Larry Sesser, Tim and Debbie Bergeron, Gregory and BB Bergeron, Philip and Marcia Bergeron, Francis and Gail Bergeron, Monica and Dennis VanZandt, and Lenny and Angela Bergeron as well as all his cousins who loved him dearly. Jason's godparents were Paula Mire and Gregory Bergeron.
Also, he leaves behind his special friends Richard and Anne.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparent Sidney "Pete" Trosclair and paternal grandparents Williard and Marie Champagne Bergeron.
Many people helped Jason throughout his life's journey with cerebral palsy. We appreciate Bill Dick and Randall Waguespack who were always seeking the best for Jason.
A special thank you to North Oaks Hospital ICU doctors, nurses, and staff for the exceptional care they provided to Jason and his family as well as Belle Maison Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
We will remember his beautiful smile, and love for Saints/LSU football, the beach, shopping trips, vacations and time with his loving family. As we celebrate his life, we know Jason is now free of pain and immobility and heaven has gained an angel to watch over all of us.
Family and friends are invited to services on Monday, November 21, 2022 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, with a visitation at 9AM and Mass to follow at 11AM. There will be an inurnment following mass at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
