Helen Duhe Ayme

January 13, 1933 – May 9, 2024

Age 91. Lifelong resident of Norco, LA. Wife of the late Gaston J. “Ponnie” Ayme, Jr. Preceded in death by her father, Samuel “Sam” Joseph Duhe, her mother, Cecilia Boudreaux Duhe, and her sister, Sister Naoma Duhe, MSC (AKA Mollie Duhe). She is survived by her Children: Grant Ayme, Mollie Ayme Chapman (Bill), Emric Ayme (Julie), Thecla Ayme Markle (Tom, deceased), Tyler Ayme (Netty, deceased; Joan), Nathan Ayme (Alix), and Mahlon Ayme; 11 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. Helen was a lifelong homemaker, unconditionally and beautifully devoted to her family and her strong faith as a devout Catholic. These endeavors of Helen and Ponnie, along with the simple things in life, brought them great joy and peace which transcended throughout our family and strongly bonded us in love and unity, and forever will.

Visitation will begin at 9AM on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Sacred Heart Church, 401 Spruce St. Norco, LA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM.
