Peacefully at G.N.G.H. on July 30th, 2013 at the age of 84. Survived by his loving wife of 43 yrs, Dorothy (nee Ball). Son of late James and Isa King and late brother Alan (Irene) of Brantford. Survived by his brother Howie (Janey) of Walnut Creek, California, and several nieces and nephews. Rae retired from Bell Canada with 43 yrs service. He was a long-time member of St. Andrew’s United Church, Niagara Men’s Chorus, Niagara Philatelic Society, he also volunteered at Nova House Book Riot for over 20 yrs and made over 100 donations to the Blood Clinic.
In keeping with Rae’s wishes cremation and a private interment has taken place. A service of Remembrance will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 5645 Morrison St, Niagara Falls on Friday August 9th, 2013 at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers donations to St. Andrew’s Memorial Fund, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to HETHERINGTON AND DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 5176 Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls.
