John James Vincent

In his 82nd year, passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital. John was born in Peterborough and retired in the Niagara Region. John was predeceased by his wife Amy (2009), his best friend Jean (2002), his brother David (2009), and his parents Hazel and John Vincent. John is survived by his beloved daughter Jayne & her husband Cal Boudreau, his sister Rose Marie Gross & her children Gloria, Margaret, and Paul. He also will be missed by the loving families of David & Kristyn Schram (Alanna, Matthew & Jonathon), Lee & Steve Tustin (Erika & Jordan), and Danny & Emily Schram (Vanessa & Michael). John served in the Canadian Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a master electrician in many different Canadian communities. An avid bridge player, he attained Silver Life Master. John was a fan of the Canadian Football League and followed the fortunes of the Progressive Conservative Party.

In accordance with John’s wishes, cremation will take place with a service to be held in Niagara Falls at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Walker Family Cancer Centre would be appreciated and may be made through Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 905-354-5614.
