It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jennifer Ann Johnson (née Coleman-Lawrie), a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us on Thursday, July 25th, 2024 at the age of 65. Jenny passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and furry friends, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, joy, and unwavering love.
Born on January 13th, 1959 Jenny was the epitome of being care-free and compassionate. She touched the lives of everyone she met with her radiant smile and generous spirit. Her presence brought laughter into every room, she was and is, the life of the party.
As a devoted sister, mother and grandmother, Jenny was the force of the family. Jenny was a true best friend to so many people. She was a wild free spirit, always having a great time, supporting those around her, with all she had. She was the animal lover of all animal lovers, the best baker, the school bus driver that changed children’s lives, the casinos most frequent visitor, and most importantly the top consumer of Tetley tea. Jenny was a light everywhere she went, always lifting spirits and creating laughter. Her personality so big and genuine she stood strong in who she was. Her love knew no bounds, and she had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel special. Through it all her legacy of strength and courage will continue to inspire all who knew her. She is survived by her brother, Ian Lawrie. Her beloved children, Tamara Bennett (Coleman-Lawrie) and David Bennett (Husband), Bryan Irwin and Ashley Irwin (Wife), Samantha Irwin, Jeffrey Johnson (Step-son), and Robert Johnson (Step-son), her adored grandchildren, Zoey Griffin, Hayden Orcutt, Lucas Orcutt, Clare Irwin, Lola Irwin, Helayna Johnson, and Nathan Irwin, her former husband and close friend, Robert Irwin Jr. and her favourite of all, her fur babies, Lucia, Dozer and Pippy. Jenny was predeceased by her parents Barbara and Peter Lawrie, husband Robert Johnson Jr., brother Robert Lawrie, and Step-son Michael Johnson.
A celebration of Jenny will be held Thursday, August 1st, 2024 from 10:45am - 11:45am at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel. The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed by logging into https://funeraweb.tv/en/diffusions/96210 There will be an afternoon and evening visitation prior on Wednesday, July 31st, 2024 from 2pm - 4pm and 7pm - 9pm at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Ave, Niagara Falls, Ontario. Family and friends are invited to gather and honour her memory, sharing stories and remembering the beautiful person Jenny was.
Jenny’s beautiful soul and kind heart will be deeply missed, but her love and light will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
