David James Richardson

My father was born Dec. 19, 1939 in Toronto to Elizabeth and Thomas Richardson. Dad lost his parents within weeks of one another and was orphaned as a teen.

Dad married mom Brenda (deceased 1994) had myself, Linda ( Angelo) and my brother Rex. Grandfather to my boys James (Courtney), and Thurston ( Emily).

After mom's passing, dad married a second time to Roberta ( deceased 2014) and became step-dad to Ronnie, John and Tara, honorary papa to TJ, Darian (Heather), Abbey, Aiden, and Kaitlynn (Justice).

Dad worked in the transportation industry and was a proud Teamster. Dad would say he was a simple man who valued hard work. After retiring at 54, he enjoyed going for coffees, road trips, playing cards, western movies, football, tracing his ancestry and playing the stock market.

Dad's amazing sense of humour had us all laughing right up to the very end. His quick wit and easy going ways will always be remembered.

A huge thank-you to the Niagara Falls Dialysis unit and all members of his care team. He received excellent care and said thank-you.

As Per Dad's wishes, cremation will take place. He will be laid to rest at a private graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Sick Kids would be appreciated.
