Tom was born in Paterson, NJ on March 17, 1954. He was an Education major in college and earned his Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University. Tom met his beloved wife of 41 years in the early years of his college education. He worked as the Manager of Technical Service for Ricoh Corporation for many years.
Tom had a love of reading and history. He was on the Board of Directors for the Literacy Program of Sussex County and was a literacy tutor. Tom was a foodie and enjoyed cooking. He also enjoyed playing computer games. Tom found peace in the outdoors and especially loved hiking and camping with his son in the Catskills. When he wasn’t in the mountains, Tom enjoyed kicking back at the beach which was one of his favorite vacation destinations.
Tom was predeceased by his parents, Thomas Edmund and Violet (Sackerman) McLoughlin. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Madeline (Kluchar) McLoughlin; his son, Thomas Michael McLoughlin; his sister, Susan McConeghy and husband, Craig; and his cousin, Lorraine Detitta. He also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews, his beloved sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and many special friends.
