Terry was born on September 13, 1948 to the late William and Julia (Smith) Doty. A lifelong Newton resident, Terry attended Newton High School and worked as a mechanic and gas station attendant for over 30 years. He married his high school sweetheart, Darlene, and they spent over 50 loving years together.
Terry is survived by his beloved wife Darlene Doty; his children Damina Nystrand (Jack), Terry Doty Jr. (Joan), and Jay Doty; his grandchildren Katlin Straway, Kadeejah Nystrand, Kasha Nystrand, and Kristofer Nystrand; his great grandchildren Brooke Straway, Brinley Straway, and Autumn Viola; and his sister-in-law Gail Kampka.
Terry is predeceased by his parents William and Julia (Smith) Doty; his grandson Jack Nystrand Jr. ; and his siblings William and Brenda Doty.
