Kenneth was born in Jersey City on October 19, 1942 to the late George and Irene (Muller) Groth. Kenneth was raised in Hudson County and lived many years in Bergen County before settling in Sussex County 40 years ago. Kenneth was a proud Army veteran; prior to his retirement, he was a business owner at Michaelsen’s Auto Supplies in Cliffside Park. Kenneth was a member of the Bergen County Cruisers and adored cars. He loved fishing, camping, boating and most importantly spending time with his beloved grandchildren.
The beloved husband to the late Madeline Groth, Kenneth is survived by his children, Kenneth E. Groth, Jr., Christopher Groth and his wife, Candy, Sherry Longcore and Brian Groth; his grandchildren, Tyler Groth, Matthew Longcore and Bruno Groth; his sister, Janet Walker and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum in Newton.
