She was born on March 15, 1934 in Jersey City, NJ. Claire was a long time resident of Jersey City prior to moving to Sparta in 1989. She was a receptionist in the Hudson County area prior to her retirement in 1996. She enjoyed bingo, crocheting and enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren in their younger years.
Claire is survived by her two sons, Mark Lewandowski (Donna) and John Lewandowski (Sandra); her sister, Irene C. Brodzinski and her two grandchildren, Justin Lewandowski and Josh Lewandowski.
Claire was preceded in death by her husband, John, who passed away in 1989; her sisters, Joanne, Rita, Jeanne and Lucille; her three brothers, John, James and Augustus.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Claire will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C Church, 210 US 206, Sandyston, NJ 07826.
Claire will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, NJ 07031.
