Barbara was born in Brooklyn and raised in East Meadow, Long Island. She graduated from Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School and had a career as an Office Manager for Gilbert & Calabrese in Flanders for many years.
Barbara enjoyed fishing with her dad in Montauk and bowling. She loved attending Jimmy Buffett concerts and was a loyal Parrot Head for over 30 years. She was a true card shark and enjoyed casinos and cruises. Above all, she was a mom.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Becky Walker and partner, James Williams; her parents, Walter and Barbara Bohnenberger; her sister, Ellen Bohnenberger; her nephew, Ryan Bohnenberger; her partner, Glen Blanchard; her former spouse, Ed Walker; her beloved dog, Oscar; and her grand-dog, Nola.
A memorial visitation will be held from 1 to 4 pm on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St, Newton, NJ. Jimmy Buffett attire welcomed.
