Born December 31, 1933 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence William Craig and Nora Eades Craig. Shirley was a faithful member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Roger Allen Seitz, Jr.; and granddaughter, Kristin Owensby.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Steve Seitz and wife, Donna; daughter, Cindy Owensby; grandchildren, Kendell Hardt and husband, Nigel, Logan Seitz and wife, Dayanna; great-grandchildren, Hendrix Hardt and Mila Seitz.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 12, 2019 at New Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Newton, with Rev. Randall Cauble officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m., at the church.
