She was born in Catawba County on June 17, 1942, to the late Ottis and Muriel Huffman Moore.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded by her son, Scotty Harvell; brother, Kenneth and Mickey; and sisters, Ruth, Vickie, Betty and Margaret.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ray Edward Harvell; son, Tim Harvell and wife Tina; daughters, Lori Carr and Susan Moretz; grandchildren, Amy, Andy, Jared, Jameson, Dustin, Misty, John, Adam, Scotty Jr., and Kristopher; sisters, Judy and Gail.
Celebration of life service will be held at 4 pm Monday, August 23, 2021 at Providence Road Baptist Church in Maiden with Pastor Dustin Carr officiating.
Memorials can be made to the National Kidney Foundation at 30 East 33rd St. New York, NY 10016.
