He was born October 22, 1951 in Caldwell County, to David Conley Garrison and the late Phyllis Janette Walling Garrison. Robert attended Criswell Bible Institute in Dallas, TX and served in the US Navy for 4 years.
Survivors include his lifetime companion of 25 years, Donna Blalock of the home; father, David Conley Garrison of Lincolnton, NC; sisters, Janette Garrison Rhoney and husband, George of Hickory, NC and Sharon Garrison Dobey and husband, Kent of Lexington, NC; brothers, Charles Bernard Garrison and wife, Delores of Lincolnton, NC and David Walling Garrison of Lincolnton, NC.
A service of remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 in the Chapel of Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton with Rev. Daniel J. Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
