Brian was a special light in our lives, always joking, laughing and making others feel better about themselves. He was a wonderful, loving husband, father, son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. His passing will leave a tremendous void in our lives and we will miss him each and every day. Brian especially enjoyed family events, fishing, and hunting with his dad and brother-in-law. Time spent with his wife and daughter was always a priority and his parents were blessed as he kept in touch with them on a daily basis. We will never watch a Duke basketball game, a Miami Dolphin football game, a Boise State football game or a Nascar race without feeling his presence with us.
Brian was born December 9, 1969, in Fayetteville, NC to Robert and Becky Parker. He was a member of Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ in Conover and was an employee of King Hickory Furniture Company in Hickory. Brian graduated from St. Stephens High School in 1988 and from Western Carolina University in 1992.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Pauline Middleton and Robert E. Parker; and a nephew, Garrett Bradshaw.
Survivors left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Jennifer Benfield Parker of the home; daughter, Megan Adele Parker of Greensboro; parents, Robert and Becky Parker of Claremont; grandmother, Annie Parker of Maiden; sister and brother-in-law, Amy and Bryan Bradshaw of Claremont; nieces, Bree and Tess Bradshaw of Claremont; and aunts, uncles and cousins in various parts of NC.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, Conover with Rev. Peggy Stout officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
