Hardeep Singh Batth

Hardeep, “Deppa”, “Babu”, was born in Hoshiarpur, Punjab to Gurwant Kaur and Karampal Singh Batth in 1958. Hardeep studied and graduated with a masters in History from Punjab University. Then went on to pursue his interests at the J.J. School of Arts. His journey to America first began in 1980 when he departed from Punjab to make a pit stop in Italy, for which he extended his stay for three years. He arrived in California in 1983 via Mexico. Hardeep married Kamljit Kaur on January 29, 1986 at the Hollywood Sikh Temple. They went on to have three children, two daughters and a son. He came from a family of hard working men and women, and was a prime example of that. He went above and beyond for his friends and family. Always putting others ahead himself. Everyone who has ever met Hardeep, a kind and gentle soul, would know the effect he has on people. He had a personality that attracted all walks of life. He gave twice as much love as he took.

Hardeep is survived by his wife Kamaljit Kaur Batth, his daughter Harkismatdeep Singh Batth, his second daughter Harsukhmandeep Singh Batth, his son Gursimran Singh Batth, his sister Harinder Sandhu, his brother Suwarndeep Batth, and his beloved fur babies.
