George Eugene Harris joined his late wife Linda in Heaven on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at his home in Canyon Country, California. He was born October 6th, 1939 in Decatur, Illinois, to Vivian Harris and Jean Cook. He was the third oldest of 8 brothers and sisters. At 17 years old, he met the love of his life, Linda. they exchanged rings and vows on April 21, 1961, after five years of dating. A year later, in 1962, George and Linda moved to Saugus, California. They had two daughters, Pamela Schuoler and Tami Gurnett.
After his service in the United States Air Force, George spent his professional life working construction. Not only did he love to build things from 9 - 5, but also during his off hours. George was very crafty and built dozens of birdhouses that decorated his front and back yard, and now decorate his daughter's homes.
George just really loved life and took every opportunity to live it to the fullest. Well, maybe almost as much as the taste and the carbonation of a Coors Light in a tall, frosted glass. To him, a cold beer was the perfect way to bond with those he loved. He loved his family, and his friends, and all the time that he shared with them (which was a lot). They would go fishing, camping, and join together around the dinner table. When it was just the two of them, George and Linda had an incredible zest for adventure; they took several cruises and set sail to Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, and the Panama Canal. When they decided to stay on land, they would run off to Las Vegas and play the slots until their pockets had little more room in them.
His is survived by his two daughters, Pamela and Tami, his two sons-in-law, Russel and Scott, their four grandchildren: Victor, Justin, Jordan, and Ben, his sister Barbara and his brothers Gary and Jimmy.
Preceding his death was his father, Vivian, his mother, Jean, his brothers: Arlen, Jerry, Ronny, and Rick and his wife Linda Harris.
