Thomas C. Overton

Thomas C. Overton, 81, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. He was born in New Harmony, IN on July 1, 1936 to Thomas Ireland and Anna Louise Overton. He retired from SIGECO (now Vectren) after over 30 years as a Maintenance Foreman. Tom was a member of, and later managed, The Old Stone Club for several years. He and Patia enjoyed their beloved dogs and traveling across the country. He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Patia Ann; and sister, Anna Marie Harl. Tom is survived by son, David T. Overton (Kara) of Avon, IN; daughter, Elizabeth A. Damm (Tim) of New Harmony, IN; granddaughter, Alexa N. Overton; grandson, Kyler T. Overton; and granddaughter, Karly E. Damm. Funeral Services will be held 5:00 PM, Friday, May 11, 2018, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel. Friends may visit 2:00 PM until service time on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
