Nécrologie de Connie Faye Renschler
Connie Faye (Brammer) Renschler completed her journey on Earth Monday, June 10, 2024 in Newburgh, IN after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born March 10, 1939 in Evansville, IN to Francis and Velada Brammer. Connie graduated from Reitz High School in 1956 and from Evansville College in 1960. While at Evansville College she was President of Chi Omega sorority, Secretary of student government, basketball queen, and May Day queen. She received her Master’s degree from Indiana University where she met her future husband and love of her life, Larry. They were happily married for over 45 years. She was a dedicated kindergarten teacher for 45 years and was incredibly devoted to her students. More specifically, her family fondly remembers her devotion to phonics and her insistence on the importance of childhood reading. Additionally, Connie was a talented shopper and used this skill to show her love through stylish gifts. She fostered many lifelong friendships and remained loyal to those around her for the entirety of her life. Above all, Connie loved her family greatly. She cherished her granddaughters immensely and continues to serve as a strong role model in their lives. Her family loved her dearly and will miss her greatly. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; and parents, Francis and Velada (Stremming) Brammer. She is survived by her daughter, Lanae Harden, J.D. and her husband, Curry, and their children, Madeline and Cate Harden of Carmel, IN; son, Todd Renschler, M.D. and his wife, Francie, and their children, Elise, Paige, and Claire of Newburgh, IN; and sister, Kathy Mauck and brother-in-law Roger Mauck of Kingsport, TN. The family would like to express our gratitude to the Primrose Memory Care Staff and the Heart to Heart Hospice Staff for caring for Connie in ways that we could not.
