Boyd Moore, 81, of Boonville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 7, 2024. Born on November 13, 1942, in Evansville, Boyd was the son of the late Ray and Ethel (Abbott) Moore. Boyd attended Bosse High School and later graduated from North High School in 1960, earning a degree in Diesel Mechanics. His career was spent largely with Cummins, where he dedicated many years before retiring. A devoted and longtime member of the Chandler Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Boyd served his church community faithfully for nearly 50 years. Outside of work and church, he found great joy in deer hunting and spending time in nature. Boyd is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Yvonne (LeGrande) Moore, and his children Karen Best and Roger Moore (Dana). He was the cherished grandfather of Logan Best (Yang), Evan Best (Amanda), Anna Marie Moore, and Audrey Moore. Boyd also leaves behind his sisters, Carol Robbins and Doris Jean Hall, along with a host of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Lisa; his parents-in-law, Clinton and Ruth LeGrande; and his brother, Jack Moore. Friends and family may gather on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 Old State Road 261, Newburgh, IN and again the following day at Chandler Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 338 S. State Street, Chandler, IN from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. following the visitation at the church officiated by Pastor Fritz Kaufman. Boyd's burial and final resting place will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Chandler, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chandler Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 338 S.
