Barbara Ann Lance

Barbara “Barb” Ann Lance, 61, of Newburgh, passed away Friday, August 15, 2014, at Deaconess Gateway. She was born October 13, 1952, in Evansville, IN to the late Leroy and Mary Magdalene (Rosenkranz) Lefler.

She was an active member of Church of the Nazarene in Boonville where she served in the youth ministry and sang in the choir. She worked for over 20 years at Buehler’s Buy Low. She enjoyed traveling to Gatlinburg with her husband and loved spending time with family, especially her grandson, Dillon.

Barbara was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Bunch; and brothers, Jim Lefler, Terry “Hook” Lefler, and Roger “Woody” Lefler.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Ronnie Lance; son, Gary Lance; grandson, Dillon Lance; sisters, Sharon (Don) Robinson, Mary (Bob) Ozenghar, Karen (Bill) Martin and Nancy Lefler; and brothers, David, Charles (Nina) and Jerry (Linda) Lefler; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
