Ronald P. Fiske

Ronald Porter Fiske died February 22, 2022 at his home.

He was born to Albert and Anne Fiske on July 27, 1937 in Queens, NY. He attended high school at Bishop Loughlin in Brooklyn and then went on to earn a BA at St. Francis College and an MA at St. John’s University. He married Brenda Mary Barrett on January 28, 1961.

After an honorable discharge from the Navy, Ron taught math at Central Islip and Patchogue for 34 years. He and Brenda raised their family in Ronkonkoma and Wading River. After retiring they spent time traveling the world and making memories with their children and grandchildren. Ron was an avid Yankees fan.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years and a sister Margaret Rice of Manchester, NH. Other survivors include his six children, Ronald Fiske Jr. (Susan), Kevin Fiske (Lisa), Maureen Fiske (Stephen Reisman), Mary Beth Findlay (Doug), Edward Fiske (Joleene), Denis Fiske (Amy) and 16 grandchildren, Harry and Caroline Fiske, Megan Green and Kyle Fiske, Erin, Aidan and Colin Reisman, Douglas, Elizabeth and Thomas Findlay, Samantha, Eddie and Jackson Fiske, Abbey, Charlotte and Gavin Fiske.

A wake will be held on Friday, March 4th from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at Frank E. Campbell The Funeral Chapel located at 1076 Madison Avenue in New York City. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 5 at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola located at 980 Park Avenue in New York City. Interment will be private.
