Lynda Van Damm

It is with profound sadness and pain that we announce the passing of our dearest Lynda Van Damm. Her passing was sudden and unexpected, following her heart transplant surgery.

Lynda was the most devoted and loving wife of Jeffrey Chertoff, adoring sister of Lee and Karen, and twin sister Mitzi, who predeceased her, Susan and Darrell, Jay (deceased) and Penny. Dedicated aunt of Stephanie and Jerry, Cory, Marla and Dylan, Dara and Timur, Burke and Vanessa, Skylar and Mara, Derek, and Ali. Beloved sister-in-law of Andrew and Faith, Jane and Dan, adoring aunt of David, Anne and David, and Torey.

Her reverence for family was epic felt by every generation and extension.

Lynda was a force of love, friendship, and dedication to all those who knew her. She infused kindness with everyone who crossed her path. These qualities were exemplified throughout her successful career in entertainment finance, her passion for the arts, her love of travel and all things sparkly, like her personality.

Lynda left us far too soon, leaving an eternally indelible place in the hearts of all those she touched even for a moment.

Funeral services Monday, April 24th, 9:45AM at The Riverside Memorial Chapel, 76th Street and Amsterdam Avenue.
