John, I have to say,” I can’t believe your gone.  Just the other day you were walking by me with such a radiant glow & the biggest smile on your face❤️. For the several years I’ve known you as, “ The kindest man with a heart of gold!  You were a dear sweet friend & neighbor!  I’ve watched you go out of your  way to help those who were in need. I always told you charity starts at home & home is where you were and it brought you great  joy ♥️ John I will always miss our chats, your laughter your smile and 
your famous words, “HELLO

I am sad and sorry to hear of John's passing. I've known John since kindergarten and will miss seeing him around the neighborhood.
Yorkville was sometimes a tough place growing up and we all shared in the experiences.
The John I will remember was a friend who would go out of his way to greet me, even if it was just a yell (WHATS UP BILL?) and a wave from across 3rd Avenue.
Sad to see you go my brother.

I’m so heartbroken by the loss of my “big cousin” John John. Growing up together, I thought you were the coolest. You were so handsome, with a contagious smile and the biggest heart.  You leave behind a true legacy of love, loyalty and friendship and will be missed by so many. I will never forget the special bond you had with my parents and how you were always there for them when they needed you. They loved you beyond measure. Give them and all those we miss a big hug from me. Until we meet again, I will hold you close in my heart always.

John, you and me had our battles but we became good friends and we had some very good times. You were always there whenever someone needed you. ALWAYS!! JOHN I WILL MISS YOU. Rest in peace brother!!!!

Oh John no one comes close to you.  You were my guardian angel, my cousin, my friend.  You , John Miller, where one of a kind, true Yorkville. We have so many memories over 5 decades.  Starting with Mrs. Lewis candy store where you lived upstairs.  My Nanny would take me to Saturday night mass OLGC then head down to her apartment.  I was sent upstairs to your apartment while the ladies smoke their cigarettes and drank their Schafer beer.  There's was no stopping us from there.  You are my brother, cousin, friend.  My body body guard.  I love you John Miller.  Rest in heavenly peace.

I will miss him stopping by with his joyful “hello beautiful “ and often with flowers and wine in hand.  Never ever in a bad mood. Our little ray of sunshine.  We invited him everywhere and he always smiled and said “no thank you ! I’m gonnna go now “.

Still can’t believe you are gone John, (aka John-John). I will always remember all the saturdays that Doug, Kim & I shared with you in the city. My dad driving and my mom sitting in the back seat of the station wagon!Hanging out in the same apartment, having Grandma cooking in the kitchen, your mom always treating us to ice cream from the Mister Softee truck that we heard the music from all the way up to the 20th floor! Running through the sprinkler downstairs because we didn’t have any pool or sprinkler at our apartment. From the trips to John’s candy store with my mom or yours, deciding what kind of candy we should all get so we could split it up and each have a nice variety to snack on. In the meantime you would always con your mom into buying extra, for later, after we left! The years have gone by so fast, but one thing stayed the same…how much we loved seeing you even if it was for a quick visit, or a quick phone call ! My mom loved keeping in touch with you❤️You will always be my “favorite” cousin because of all the great moments we shared. Rest in peace John-John, give some of your big hugs to all those that we miss and have lost

So many fond memories of my nephew John growing up with my children in NYC.He was  very warm kind and gererous.Always up beat ,great sense of humor.So sorry I hadn't seen him recently,however spoke to him often.He was best man at Kevin's wedding .He will be missed by his many cousins and friends,Love you Johnny,RIP,Aunt Lynne
