Ms. Brown started her education in Trinidad and concluded at Fordham University with a masters degree in adult education and human resource development. In July 2004, she retired from the NYC Department of Education.
Church played an important role in Evelyn's life-- she was baptized in the River Jordan and served in the Altar Guild Board for approximately 20 years. She was an active volunteer with the New York City Public Library, which gave Evelyn the opportunity to to work with the youth.
Ms. Brown took her missionary work around the world to places such as Russia, China, Argentina, and Germany. This in return increased Evelyn's ability to understand different cultures and societies and gave her a valuable experience.
Ms. Brown was an active member of the Children's Ministry at the Times Square Church and a board member of the Baruch College Alumni Association.
