Charles H. Baller, 87, died peacefully on August 18, 2021, after having been diagnosed with Leukemia in July of 2021. He is survived by his wife Patricia of 22 years, his children, Louise, Emily and Jim, and his grandchildren, Charlotte, Alex, Claire, Aidan, Cason and Nils.
Born in 1934, Charles grew up in Flatbush, Brooklyn with his late sister Paula. He attended Erasmus High School and then after graduating from the NYU School of Commerce went on to receive a law degree from Columbia University. He began his career with Wolf, Haldenstein, Adler, Freeman and Herz, a midsize firm where he worked for over 50 years, rising to the role of Managing Partner. An avid runner, Charles ran the NYC marathon in 1978 and 1980 and the Boston marathon in 1981. He tried to run most days of his life until he was physically unable. He had a passion for skiing with his family and challenging himself on the double diamonds of Vail, Colorado. Charles raised his family in Larchmont, NY with his first wife, Elinor. His proudest legacy are his children and grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 22nd at noon at Riverside Memorial Chapel, NYC.
