My husband and I cannot believe it’s been 3 years since Carol’s passing. We met Carol through her wonderful aunt, Margaret Wilburn.  Carol was a special person ..so kind and thoughtful.

Thinking about Carol on her birthday. My husband and I met Carol through her aunt Margaret Wilburn. Carol always stayed in touch with us after her aunt’s passing. Carol was a wonderful, caring person. She always remembered us on our birthdays as we always remembered her birthday. May she rest in peace.

I was a friend of Carol's aunt Margaret Wilburn for many years. I met Carol only once but after Margaret passed away, Carol and I would chat on the phone every few months. Carol was a shy girl and became a shy woman, but very caring. She never forgot my family's birthdays or other celebrations. There is a piece of my life missing now that she is gone. Rest in Peace  Carol, xo.

Carol's  father Elliot was a fellow physician-scientist  who shared a common research interest-amyloidosis. After he passed I assumed his position as an American Cancer Society Clinical Research Professor. I remember meeting Carol and her sister at the  International Society of Hematology meeting in Kyoto, Japan in 1976 where they and her parents attended and I recall  her father bragging about the dancing skills of his daughters to my parents who also attended the meeting. My condolences to the family.
