Mary Ellen McNew

Mary Ellen Poore McNew “Nanny” was born April 19, 1943 and passed away march 13, 2012. She was saved as a young girl and was a member of Goins Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence McNew. Clarence and Mary will celebrate their 49th wedding anniversary March 18 together this year in Heaven. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Clayton & Dorthy Poore, SR, great grandson, Christopher Donovan Bays; brothers, Henry and James O. Poore and infant sister, Donna Kay Poore.

She is survived by her Daughter: Sandra K. McNew of New Tazewell, TN

Grandchildren: Chris Bays of Maynardville, TN

Jenny (Nathan) Epperson, Stacy England and Timmy England of New Tazewell

Great grandchildren: Anna, Tyler and Nathaniel Epperson

Sister: Betty (Ron) Rucker of Kingston, TN

Brothers: Clayton (Vera Lynn) Poore, JR

David (Becky) Poore all of New Tazewell, TN

One Uncle: Gillus Day of Tazewell, TN

Several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 P.M. Thursday night March 15, 2012 at Coffey Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 8:00 P.M. Thursday night in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will be at 12 Noon Friday at Fairview Cemetery.
