Martha Lou Vernie Greene

Vernie was saved at 11 years old at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church on January 4, 1948 and baptized on January 13, 1948.

She is preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Rosie Greene. Son Claude Greene. Grandson Travis Wayne Greene. Siblings Goldie Cunningham, Opal Cinnamon, John Greene, George Greene, Mossie Gibson, and Lily Mabe.

Vernie is survived by her sons Raymond Lawson and Troy (Ollie) Williams. Daughter Kathy (Larry) Louthan. Grandchildren Quinton (Chasity) Lawson, Jamie Roach, Briley Greene, Aaron Reed, Gracie Reed, Denise Ott, Ashley Whitaker, and Hannah Louthan. Great grandchildren Aaliyah Lawson, Gavyn Lawson, Jacoby Lawson, Marcee Roach, Toby Ramsey, Noah Ott, Madison Collins, and Gaine Whitaker. Sisters Easter Major Greene, Helen Carroll Greene, and Betty Cody Greene. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday May 17, 2023 from 6 until 8 PM at Coffey Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 8 PM in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel. A graveside service will be held Thursday May 18, 2023 at 10 AM in the Cedar Flat Cemetery.
