James Willard "Bill" Meyers

James Willard “Bill” Meyers was born August 16, 1937 and passed away May 11, 2014 at Claiborne County Nursing Home. He was retired from Formal Plastics in Knoxville, TN in March 2006. He enjoyed farming and gardening. I quote referring to the gardens, “I like to watch it grow.”

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Minnie (Minton) Meyers; brothers, Carson Meyers, Harrison Meyers, Arvol Meyers and Dello Meyers; sisters, Gladys Watson, Inez Forlines, Helen West, Eula Mae Loveday and Katherine Yench.

He is survived by his children: Sheila Meyers of Middlesboro, Ky

Kevin Meyers and Shawn Meyers both of Knoxville, TN

Grandchildren: Christa (Brandon) Harmon of Knoxville, TN

Elizabeth (Ellie) Meyers

Clara Meyers both of Knoxville, TN

Great Granddaughter: Andie Harmon

Sister: Joyce Watson of New Tazewell, TN

And a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 P.M. Tuesday May 13, 2014 at Coffey Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday night in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service in the Lily Grove Cemetery at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday.
