Rev. James M. Lambert, "Papaw", age 70 of Tazewell, TN went home to be with the Lord on November 11, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was of the Baptist Faith receiving his certificate of Ordination December 6, 1987 at Blairs Creek Baptist Church. James was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Evening Star Masonic Lodge # 180 F&AM in New Tazewell, where he holds the title of Longest standing Chaplin. James was preceded in death by infant daughter Amy K. Lambert; his parents, Virgil and Edith Lambert; his brothers, Jerry Lambert and Johnny Lambert an sister, Vivian Lister.
James is survived by his loving wife of 50 years: Barbara Lambert; Daughter: Jessica Collins and husband Billy of New Tazewell, TN; Son: James Lambert, Jr. and wife Kaycee of Tazewell ; Grandchildren: Qurstin Massengill and husband Austin of New Tazewell; Reece Collins and Hannah Moyers of Tazewell; and Kaily Lambert of Tazewell; Brothers: Jack Lambert and wife Ann of Monroe, Michigan; Lewis Lambert and wife Debbie of Monroe, Michigan; Sisters: Deloris Cupp and husband Steve of New Tazewell; Carolyn Green and husband David of Tazewell; Glenda Shockley and husband Dennis of New Tazewell and Nancy Lambert of Tazewell, TN, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you make donations to the Children's Shriners Hospital or to the Masonic Lodge # 180 F&AM. Please share a special memory of James on the Website for the family.
At James's request, the family will have a private Masonic Memorial Service at a later date.
