Stephen James Ballard

Even with his mental impairment, he had many achievements and high points in his life. Attending special ed programs in the public school system, he graduated with honors from Jackson High School in Michigan. The principle from the school wrote an article on Stephens achievements for the local paper. Stephen worked at Wendy’s in Jackson, Michigan as well as locally, and received a watch for 10 years of service, and was awarded employee of the month and employee of the year more than once.

In the past several years Stephen loved attending the Red Apple School in New Port Richey, Florida, where he found fulfillment and many friends.

Stephen asked the Lord Jesus to come into his heart at an early age. He was baptized at Calvary Baptist Church in Ypsilanti, Michigan. There was a void in his life when the Lord called his Dad home. Stephen believed in his heart that the Lord Jesus was coming back any day and would look up to heaven and say; “Jesus, please come tonight”.

But as many as received Him to them gave He the power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on His name. John 1:12

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Stephen is survived by his mother, Darlene Ballard, sisters Rebekah, Bonnie Lou and Brenda,, brother Chuck Jr, aunts Lila Grider, Mona Ballard and uncle, Stan Ballard as well as and many cousins.
