A Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend was Born on February 10, 1927, went to be with our Lord and Savior August 21, 2016.
Juan served our country as, Major Juan De Sosa, US Army ret. He served in two wars, Bay of Pigs where he was also a POW and Vietnam War as a combat officer. During his service he was awarded the Army Medal of Valor, Silver Stars, Bronze Stars and numerous other citations. Juan was active in his community through his involvement with Pasco County Republican Party, Club Politico (Pasco County Republican Party’s Hispanic outreach Club) and Greater Downtown New Port Richey. He shared his love for the food of his country Cuba, through his restaurants “Juan’s Black Bean Deli” and “Juan’s Black Bean Café” which made him well known as “Juan Black Bean” and an astute businessman.
Those who knew Juan understood that his two passions in life were God and his family. Juan was a loving and compassionate family man who always put his family first. Juan is survived by his loving wife Sandra (Sandy) De Sosa, his children: Juan E. De Sosa (Cristina) of Orlando, FL, Max De Sosa (Cristi) of Westin, FL, Vivian (GiGi) Peña (Lazaro) of Miami, FL, Michelle De Sosa Smith (Roy) of New Port Richey, Fl, Michael De Sosa (Vickie) of New Port Richey, FL, Melissa De Sosa Mason (Allen), Lancaster, TN along with his twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
