Jeff Miller, a math teacher in the New Port Richey, Florida school district took on a volunteer position as a local historian. His fivay.org online page has collected the history of the mother county, Hernando and the carved-out county of Pasco in 1887. Jeff made his Facebook page a collection point for many descendants to input their ancestors including bios, pictures and other information. My late mother, Frances Fair Clark Mallett made sure I was introduced to Jeff early on. Doing so and monitoring his site allowed me to meet other cousins with long ago artifacts to enhance our research. R. I. P Jeff Miller.

Jeff and I worked together at the WGUL,  Music Of Your Life station way back in the day.  He did his Open Line Program and had great guests come in to discuss issues.  He also ran the Swap Shop program and was an on-air personality.
He was very sweet, kind, and witty.  
I loved his website and how informative it was about the history of Pasco and surrounding areas.
I just found out he passed away. 
RIP Jeff....so sad to hear of your passing. 

So sorry. We were both born in West Virginia. Jeff was a big part of my personal and professional life.  I will miss our talks about history. My Sister loved him too. RIP. 

Mr Miller was a wonderful math teacher— I learned so much from him. He will be greatly missed.


It was my pleasure to work alongside such an amazing educator at Gulf High School. Jeff had such a  gentle way about him. His heart was full of love for the NPR community. His presence and his humor will be greatly missed 💚. 

During a visit from TN to FL, my mother (Frances Clark Mallett) wanted me to meet Jeff Miller. I drove to his apartment and met him. Seeing what he was doing for the history of Hernando County and the carved out county of Pasco. I decided to add what I could. We became friends. When I attended my mother's services in 2017, Jeff gave my daughter and I a guided tour of the WPHS and took us out to view mother's gravestone in the Pinehill Cemetery. Pasco Co. has lost a valued historian and I a good friend. RIP.

Jeff Miller contributed so very much to local history. He epitomized the essence and grace of an educator! I feel honored to have worked with him in the field of local history! He was a role model and a person who cherished the lessons of the past!

This man has done so much for our community. So much of what he did was all voluntary, he was a wonderful photographer and historian. He will be missed by so many.
