Bill graduated Goldsboro High School, Goldsboro, NC in 1971 and then attended North Carolina State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Business Management in 1975. He had a long career at ExxonMobil Corporation in various Marketing and Financial Analysis positions and retired after 33 years. Bill’s greatest joy was his family, but he was also an avid history buff, baseball fan, and NC State Wolfpack supporter. The last eight years he was privileged to be involved with the football programs at Christian Brothers School, Jesuit, and Brother Martin. The time he spent with the players was truly a blessing in his life.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, William O. White, Sr. and Vira Smith White.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 23 years, Shannon Gaule White; his children, Katherine Scarborough, Elizabeth White, Gabrielle White and David White; his sister in law, Erin Giaise; brother in law, Scott Giaise; and mother in law, Anna C. Gaule.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation held at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 105 Bonnabel Blvd. Metairie, LA on Monday, September 26, 2022 from 10:00 am until a funeral mass begins at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
