Widad Martha Belinda Salomon Chan, born on February 24, 1953, in Bluefields, Nicaragua, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved daughter of Maria and Manuel Salomon, both deceased. Widad was a devoted mother to her son, Justin Chan, who is married to Hollie Randazzo Chan, and cherished grandmother to their three sons, Isaac, Eli, and Jacob; and her daughter, Amy Chan, who is married to Rafael Castillo. Widad will be remembered fondly by her living siblings: Amina, Delilah, Nadira, Fatima, and Khater. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Manuel and Hashem. Widad's life will be celebrated at a memorial Mass on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Lake Lawn Funeral Home at 11 AM. The family will be accepting visitors prior to Mass beginning at 10 AM. Widad's kindness, warmth, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
