Virginia C. Hall

Virginia Capitano Hall entered peacefully into the gates of Heaven on Monday, November 20, 2023 at the age of 94. She was just one day shy of her 95th birthday. Virginia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Leslie S. Hall. Beloved mother of Jim S. Hall, the late Judy F Hall. Beloved grandmother of Shannon (Carl) and Erin Hall. She was a proud great-grandmother to two beloved great-granddaughters, Caitlyn and Cameryn Hall. Also, survived by Mary Hall.

Virginia was born in Tampa, Florida on November 21, 1928, as a first born generation American of Sicilian parents, Philip Capitano and Josephine Civello. Beloved Sister of Mary Williams, the late Philip Capitano Jr, Sam Capitano, Paul Capitano, Rose Wilson, and Johnny Capitano.

Virginia loved sharing stories of her days at the telephone company. She was the best homemaker, chef, and seamstress. She also enjoyed being a perfectionist with her beautiful garden. Virginia was such a kind hearted woman that was loved by so many. She was wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed dearly by all.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. followed by a Mass at 1:00 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, located at 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans with interment to follow.
