Virginia Riley Davies passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016, at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Harry R. Davies. Virginia is survived by her five children Sherrill Davies Allen (Charles), Dick Davies (Molly), Tom Davies (Julie), Jim Davies (Debi) and Bill Davies (Maria); eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her devoted friend Marie Louise Buffington. Virginia graduated Sophie B. Wright High School and attended Newcomb College. She was affiliated with Alpha Delta Phi. Virginia was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed playing tennis with her husband. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Thursday, September, 15 2016 at 11:00am. Visitation will begin at 10:00am.
