Susan loved New Orleans for all its beauty and diversity. She wore many hats while enjoying all the city had to offer. Throughout the years, Susan was a licensed real estate agent, worked for South Central Bell, Delta Airlines and Harrahs Entertainment. Her last few years were spent working and being part of her Kenner Seafood family. However, everyone that knew Susan knew her true passion was entrepreneurship. She owned several restaurants and lounges in New Orleans and Metairie. Her entrepreneurial spirit embodied every decision she made. Her life was never void of the sense of adventure or excitement. She will be missed by her eclectic circle of friends made throughout her life including several longtime friends of many years with whom she shared special times and memories. Susan was surrounded by many loving friends during her last days.
Special blessings and heartfelt thanks to Dr. Cathi Fontenot for her compassionate care and friendship. Special gratitude and appreciation to close friend, Pamela Bryant, for her love and caring for Susan in her final days and throughout their forty-eight year friendship. Sincere thanks to Gifted Nurses and Passages Hospice, also angels in their own right.
Cremation was entrusted to Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. Upon Susan’s request, donations made to Animal Rescue of New Orleans would be greatly appreciated in honor of her many fur babies.
In accordance with Susan’s wishes, there will be no memorial service at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Family and friends may express condolences or leave a special memory online at www.lakelawnmetairie.com
