Rosa Argentina Loredo Erickson

Rosa was born on October 30, 1933 in Managua, Nicaragua to the late Benedicto Loredo and Aurora Isabel Callejas, and was married to the late Charles H. Erickson, Jr. She was preceded in death by sisters Ana Vaughan, Alicia Monge, Esperanza Solorzano, and Josefina Loredo; and brother Benedito Loredo. She is survived by her three daughters, Leslie Fredotovich (Ian), Tina Dalton (Chris), and Charlene Yorke (Lary); grandsons Ian Fredotovich, Wesley Fredotovich, Christopher Dalton, Charles Dalton, Tyler Dalton, and Connor Dalton; sister Gladys “Helen” Medina; and many nieces and nephews.

After attending Cabrini High School in Nicaragua, she moved to New Orleans and attended Spencerian Business Institute. She became a Secretary at Gus Meyer department store. The business school is where she met her future husband. She worked as a substitute teacher and occasional cook for Kinder Castle Preschool from 1977-1995 before she and Charles moved to Covington. Rosa enjoyed sailing with her husband, going to the movies, attending Jazz Fest and Mardi Gras parades, traveling, and taking cruises.

The family would like to thank the staff at Windsor Senior Living, The Peristyle at Beau West, and Concern Home Health and Hospice for caring for our mother.
