Mollie Blakeney Fraser of River Ridge, LA passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at the age of 87. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold Milton Fraser, Jr. for 50 years and the daughter of the late Ruby Taylor Blakeney and Dr. Cecil Carlos Blakeney. She is survived by her children Catherine Fraser Smith (Keith) and Blakeney Thomas Fraser; her grandchildren Jaynie Fraser Hubenak (Justin), Blakeney Thomas Fraser, Jr., Leigh Elizabeth Brister, Kay Lindsey Brister; and great granddaughter Makenzie Hubenak.
A graduate of Louise S. McGehee School, Newcomb College and the University of New Orleans, she was a retired high school science and gifted teacher. Mollie was a member of the Shady Oaks Garden Club, Parkway Presbyterian Church, Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity, and an ardent bridge player. Mollie will be greatly missed by her family, friends, all of those whose lives she touched, and her trusted canine companion Beau.
