Michel Levy Boudreaux was born on November 11, 1954 and died unexpectedly at her home in Harahan, LA on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at the age of 68. Born and raised in in the New Orleans area, Michel is survived by her beloved husband and devoted caregiver Kevin K. Boudreaux. The couple recently celebrated their 42nd anniversary. Michel is also survived by her brother Paul K. Levy (Heidi) of Pinetop, AZ, treasured nephews U.S. Army Major Kristopher Levy (Paige) of Pinehurst, NC and Travis A. Levy of Katy, TX.
Additional family members include brother-in-law John D. Boudreaux, Jr., niece Lauren Boudreaux and nephew John D. Boudreaux III, all residents of the New Orleans area, as well as and Nakayla Bibanco (Rico) of Aurora, CO and Destiny Elkin (Jeff) of Carlsbad, CA.
Cousins include Chuck Delacroix (Jeffery) of Houston, Scott Delacroix (Erin) of Covington, Clement P. Barbizon III (Kathy) of Harahan, Irvin E. LeBlanc III (Leslie) of Peoria, IL, Darlene Delacroix Jelinek (Frank) of Sugar Land, TX, Dianne Strasser Hecker (John) of New Orleans, Janice Nemes of Pembroke Pines, FL, Marc Levy, M.D. (Jackie) of Sarasota, FL.
She is predeceased in death by parents Michel Levy and Gloria LeBlanc Levy, her brother Michael Irvin Levy, as well as numerous aunts and uncles.
Michel followed her father into the life insurance business in 1977 serving as president and brokerage general agent at Mike Levy Associates, Inc. She also served as president of the National Brokerage Agency.
Michel served on committees and positions on the board of the New Orleans Association of Life Underwriters and became president in 1997. She was later awarded their Distinguished Member award. Michel then stepped into many positions on the Louisiana Association of Life Underwriters including the 1999 convention chair. She served as a delegate for numerous state and national conventions. Michel worked, along with her husband Kevin Boudreaux, with agents and clients nationally until her death.
Additionally, she cultivated her creative energy and passion for preserving personal and family memories through scrapbooking. Michel was an active leader in Creative Memories (1999), Photo Solutions (1999) and FOREVER.com (2015), hosting scrapbooking crops and events for a large group of friends.
Michel was graduated from University of New Orleans, College of Business (1977). At UNO, she was an active member of Sigma Kappa sorority. She also attended Mount Carmel Academy (1972) and Ferncrest School (1968).
Michel was a member of the Sigma Kappa Greater New Orleans Alumni Chapter, Imperial Woods Gourmet Club and a former member of the Colonial Club Garden Club.

A celebration of Michel’s life and Memorial Mass will be led by Monsignor Frank Giroir at St. Rita Catholic Church, 7100 Jefferson Highway, Harahan, LA on Thursday, February 2 at Noon. Friends are invited for a visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. Michel will be interred privately at Metairie Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in her memory to the American Kidney Fund (kidneyfund.org), which provided support to Michel through her journey though kidney disease.
