Michael Thomas Aucoin (1989-2016) was the beloved son of Verna and Wayne Aucoin and the cherished brother of Mary Elizabeth (Mary Beth) Aucoin. He was entrusted to them by God through St. Elizabeth’s Foundation and his generous birth mother to whom they will be forever grateful. He was the grandson of William and Verna Mae Meyer Boulet (deceased) and Claude and Mae Julia Gisclair Aucoin (deceased). He is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles and his cousins, all of whom loved him dearly. Michael was an incredibly talented musician, who, without training, could play anything, from the classics on piano to his own compositions on piano or guitar. He was also a very deep thinker. Michael graduated from St. George’s Episcopal School and Lusher High School along with the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. He was currently playing music with his friends around New Orleans—doing what he loved. Michael livened the room with his presence wherever he went. He generously shared with everyone his warm, compassionate smile and sense of humor. He was a friend to all who had the good fortune to be part of his “village” in life. He will be greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd on Thursday, June 16, 2016, from 3-5pm with a Eulogy at 4:30pm . In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Elizabeth’s Foundation at stelizabethfoundation.org or to a charity of your choice are appreciated.
