Maxine Loyacano Hotard passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at the age of 92. She was a native of New Orleans and longtime resident of Destrehan. Maxine retired from Prudential Insurance Company after a long career as an office manager. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah V. Horn, Darlene Viola, Jean Hotard and Julie Hotard; her sons, Clarence Ray Hotard, Jr. and Milton C. Hotard; grandchildren, Shannon, Tara, Matthew, Natasha, Brandi, Brandon and Lauren; great-grandchildren, Emily, Matthew, Adrianne, Bella, Julianna, Micah, Finn, Meredith, Owen, Braelynn and Brynn. Maxine is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Clarence “Sonny” Ray Hotard, Sr.; son, William J. Hotard; parents, Myrtle and Nicholas Loyacano; sister, Rose Valley; and brother, Nicholas Loyacano, Jr. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA on Thursday, November 21, 2024. A visitation will begin at 9:00AM until Mass begins at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park.
