Lazida Marie Melancon Lassalle departed our Lives on Monday,November30,2015 after a long, brave battle with cancer. She was born March 20, 1931. Loving Wife of Lawrence W. Lassalle Sr. for 67 years. Beloved mother of Lawrence Lassalle Jr. (Wanda), Robert Lassalle (Charline), George Lassalle, Kennith Lassalle(Barbara), Kathleen Lassalle Coco (Farrell), and Sherry Lassalle Fabre (Tim). She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, her brother, Duffonis (Pete) Melancon, and sister, Donnelly Bordelon. Proceeded in Death By her Father, Huzeb Melancon , Mother, Amanda Melancon, brother, Dennis Melancon, and sister, Adonia Brewer. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home at 5100 Pontchatrain Blvd in New Orleans on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 10:00 AM.
