Lawrence “Larry” Lynn Boudreaux, III, passed away on December 5, 2022 at the age of 80. He was born on August 27, 1942 in Aransas Pass, TX to the late Lawrence Lynn Boudreaux, II and Ida Melancon Boudreaux. He earned a master’s degree in business from Tulane University and served in the Army (RA UNASG AIS.) He worked for 50 years as a banker before retiring. He started his career at Hibernia National Bank as an account manager before working with Pelican Homestead as Senior Executive Vice President and COO. He later became President and CEO of Fidelity Homestead and served on many financial boards and charitable organizations. After retiring, he volunteered at the World Trade Center for several years. He was a member of St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Mandeville and loved reading, traveling, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Michelle Lynn Boudreaux. He is survived by: his wife of 47 years, Patricia Berrigan Boudreaux; his daughter, Jeanne Boudreaux Murry (Jason Barrette); his son, Marc David Boudreaux (Nicole M. Boudreaux); his grandchildren, Ashlyn Murry, Kimberly Murry, Hayden Murry, Lily Murry, Austin Boudreaux, Noah Barrette, Megan Plummer (Chris), and Emily Arcement; and his great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Alivia Daigle, and Kyla Plummer.
The family would like to give thanks to the nurses and doctors in the ICU of St. Tammany Parish Hospital, with special thanks to his nurse, Lizzie.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home at 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124. An 11:00 a.m. service will immediately follow visitation. A private interment will take place in Lake Lawn Park, and Pastor Jimmy Owens will officiate.
