Kermit "Toot" Bordelon

Kermit "Toot" Bordelon, age 88, of River Ridge, Louisiana passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023. Toot was born in Marksville, Louisiana on December 16, 1934, to the late Kirby P. Bordelon and Theresa Fontenelle Bordelon. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Judy Bordelon; siblings Leroy Bordelon and Jeanie Montalbano; granddaughter Lindsi Bordelon.

Toot is survived by his children Karen Miller (Stephen), Kathy Bordelon, and Michael Bordelon (Nancy); grandchildren Stefan Doucet, Annie Daley, Amy Poston (Chris), Wyatt Miller (ATB), Michael Bordelon, Jr., Melanie Bordelon, and Marissa Bordelon; great-grandchildren Ella, Hadley, Emmy, Jordan, Lydia, Tyler, Jonathan and Mada'Lyn; siblings Barbara Bordelon, Gerald Bordelon, Shirley Holshouser; nieces and nephews Debra, Gary, Diane, Jerry, Donna, Terri, AJ, Jr., and Michele.

He served in the United States Navy and was an insurance agent. Toot was a devout Catholic and served as a eucharistic minister at St. Matthew the Apostle Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Jerome parish. He was an avid LSU sports fan.

A visitation will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans on Friday, April 21, 2023, beginning at 9:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park and Mausoleum.
