Kent Christopher Kiefer

Kent Christopher Kiefer passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021, at the age of 58. He was born July 7, 1962, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Nat G. Kiefer, Sr. and Carol Ann Hazard Kiefer. Kent was a general contractor in New Orleans for over 20 years.

He is preceded in death by his father; his aunt, Lynn Langdon; and his niece, Margo Kiefer. Kent is survived by his mother; his children, Kyle Kiefer and Erin Andrus; his brothers, Nat Kiefer, Jr. and Kris Kiefer and wife, Jolie; his sister, Karen Kiefer; his uncles Buz Kiefer, Burgess Hazard and Bryant Hazard; and his aunts, Vivian Kern and Mary Bear. Kent is also survived by his nephews Nat III, Colby and Philip; nieces Megan, Chelsea, Mallory, Ashley, Adrienne, Amanda, Reilly and Madison; as well as numerous other loving family and friends.

Kent enjoyed all things outdoors – jetskiing, hiking and especially riding his motorcycle. He was a long and loyal fan of Tulane and Saints football. Kent was a friend to all, always kind and polite, and will be forever remembered for his sense of humor and laugh.

Due to current pandemic restrictions, the graveside services will be attended by the family only. The service will be streamed online through the Facebook page of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 2:30 p.m.
