Joseph Michael Sgroi, Jr. passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the age of 77. He was the beloved husband of the late Beverly Ann Nicolay Sgroi for 40 years; and loving brother of Joanne Toscano and Fran Tosh. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews, and fourteen great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Florence Sgroi. He also leaves behind his “pup”, Chloe Marie. Joseph graduated from Jesuit High School in 1958. He was a proud fan of the Saints, LSU, and the NY Yankees. He will be deeply missed for his generosity, thoughtfulness, and witty sense of humor and one-liners. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 1:00PM. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00AM.
